    A message from Madonna…
by ZaCK, www.absolumentmadonna.frRaising Malawi just posted a new message by Madonna…
    Dear Friend,
My birthday last week was such a blessing for me. I was surrounded by dear friends, my loving family, and by you.
The notes I received from the Raising Malawi family were simply beautiful — both in their kindness and their concern for the children of Malawi. Thank you for making my birthday so special.
The note from Sylvia in Great Britain is a message for all of us:
May Malawi, and its beautiful people, be raised through the generosity of those who share your dreams. Thank you for the work you do and the joy you give to your fans worldwide. We are all better people for being connected.
I love how Sylvia echoed the African philosophy ubuntu — I am because we are. We do share a common fate. And we must continue to dream of a better future.
That’s why it’s so important that we stay connected with each other. I hope you will help us raise awareness about Malawi by joining our Facebook community:
    http://www.raisingmalawi.org/connect-on-facebook
Along with the birthday wishes, many of you took the opportunity to make a donation to our work in Malawi. Again, thank you all!
From Alvaro in Mexico City to Esther in Istanbul, your generous donations totaling over $18,000 touched my heart and will change the lives of so many children. I truly cannot think of a better birthday gift.
Thank you again for being a part of this community and the work most dear to my heart.
    Gratefully yours,
    Madonna
P.S. If you would like to donate to Raising Malawi today, I will match your donation - doubling its impact on the lives of the Malawi children.

Madonna is so hands-on with the production of “W.E.” she’s delivering her own furniture to the set. Madge is directing the film, which tracks a young, married New Yorker (Abbie Cornish) who’s obsessed with the story of King Edward VIII’s abdication. “W.E.” started shooting in London in July, and sources said Madonna – who is reportedly financing the picture herself – saved cash by bringing her own furniture from her house across the pond to use on the set. Her rep wouldn’t confirm the furniture move but said she was involved in “all aspects” of the movie. In June, Madonna acknowledged its high cost to Interview: “Once I started casting and planning and working with my production designer, I went, “Oh, [bleep], I wrote a script about a bunch of rich people. That’s going to be great for the budget.” Filming has now moved to New York, particularly around Sotheby’s, where Cornish’s character works.

The flamboyant singer failed to make an impression on the Queen of Pop when he joined Madge on her table at an Oscars after-party.
Mika admits he stayed silent for the duration because he wasn’t up for sharing details of his private life with the chart heavyweight.
He confessed: “I’m not a socialite. My private life belongs to me only. Add to that the fact that I’m really shy.”
“During an Oscar after-party, I made a poor figure with Madonna.”
“I was sitting at the same table with her and Christian Louboutin, but I was too shy to say even one word.”
“I wonder what she might have thought about me.”
“Not an awful lot, I’d imagine.”

In short: Jane Lynch, Guy Oseary and Mercy James
    by ZaCK, www.absolumentmadonna.fr
Jane Lynch won an Emmy Award for her character Sue Sylvester on Fox’s hit show ‘Glee’.
The episode she submitted for her nomination was “The Power of Madonna.” She will be continuing her successful run by hosting Saturday Night Live in the fall.

Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary answers on Twitter to the rumour of an already planned tour for 2011 or 2012 and the rumour of Madonna being obsessed with Lady Gaga to open her next tour…
“there is no truth to a new tour.. or opening artists.. will keep you posted.”

Madonna will not allow a man, James Kambewa, who claims to be the biological father of her adopted Malawian daughter to see the four-year-old, a South African newspaper reported on Sunday.
Madonna’s spokeswoman Barbara Charone said the child’s father was not known.
“The extended family members had no knowledge of a father. The village leadership had no knowledge of a father… the mother was raped and left,
There was a three-week window between the oral arguments (in court) and the decision, when the man could have made his claim. Again nothing.
Moreover, the Ministry of Gender has recommended that it would be in the child’s best interest not to engage with anyone claiming to be a parent or guardian.”
The court listed Mercy’s biological father as unknown and said that she was born in January 2006 to a 14-year-old mother who died days after giving birth.

Britain’s Got Talent is being sued for £250,000 by a Madonna impersonator claiming Simon Cowell’s jibes have ruined his life. Philip Grimmer, who reached the semi-finals this year, accuses the show of discrimination over a disability and the fact that he was introduced as a drag queen.
The 57-year-old gyrated to Madonna’s dance track Hung Up in a purple leotard, knee-high boots and blonde wig.
Cowell called him a ‘hard of hearing and short-sighted Madonna’. Mr Grimmer is partially deaf and short sighted. Cowell also said the act was ‘monstrous’ and ‘ horrendous’ , adding: ‘Madonna at 95 would look better and dance better than you.’

Never tired of trying to make Madonna look like a heartless monster, the British tabloïds are now pretending that Madonna sees her kids by appointment.
According to the Daily Mail, the star’s children must make an “appointment” to see her which is scheduled in “15-minute slots”.
A source said: “There are no short cuts to being Madonna, she likes to declare. It’s all about hard work.”

Ryan Murphy: Madonna gave me carte blanche
by ZaCK, www.absolumentmadonna.frGlee creator Ryan Murphy gave an interview to the great Adam Shankman for Hollywood Reporter.
    Madonna came in the discussion…
Shankman: What’s the ratio between the emotional episodes versus you wanting to do just something light?
Murphy: We run in a pattern where we’ll do one that’s just sort of a regular journeyman episode — comedy and also drama, 50/50 we call it — and then we’ll do one crazy spectacular bit, which is Britney Spears or Madonna. And right after that we’ll do one that rips your heart out.
Shankman: How did Madonna react to the episode?
Murphy: I was really nervous about her reaction. So I sent the script to her. The cool thing was that she never ever gave me any notes. She’s like, “I don’t want to read the script; whatever you want to do.” She gave me carte blanche. That, I thought, was strange because I had worked with her before and she’s very controlling. Then when I sent her the episode, she watched it with her daughter and said how much she loved it. We’re going to do another Madonna one. We’re doing a Britney one, and then we’re going to do a huge one after the Super Bowl.
Shankman: I laughed so hard when you pulled out that stilts number in the Madonna episode. I thought of (”Glee” choreographer) Zach Woodlee, who was one of my assistants for years. I keep texting him, “Haven’t you run out of stuff yet?”
Murphy: That stilt thing was his idea. That’s the best part about my job: I encourage people to go nuts. And I did love that Sue Sylvester would have cheerleaders on stilts. But he found those people.

    Annabelle Wallis talks about W.E.
by ZaCK, www.absolumentmadonna.frMadonna tested Annabelle Wallis on her language skills during her audition for WE.
The Tudors star has been cast in the singer’s new film, about Wallis Simpson’s love affair with King Edward VIII, and revealed to the Daily Telegraph she regretted boasting on her CV she speaks four European languages.
    She said…
“Madonna asked me to read the foreign parts in rehearsals, before those parts had been cast.
I was stumbling over every word and it soon became clear that I may have been exaggerating slightly when I wrote that I was fluent on my CV.
When you are being directed by your idol, it is not the best time to be caught out but she was actually really great about it.”

Get into the groove with Material Girl, Macy's and Madonna
    by ZaCK, www.absolumentmadonna.fr
The official rules for the “Material Girl get Into the Groove” contest have finally been released. However it seems like the rest of the world, except the United States, Hawai and Alaska can’t enter the contest.
We’re slowly getting used to it…
There are two ways to enter the contest; through live auditions or YouTube.
The live auditions will be held tomorrow, Thursday August 26 2010, at the Broadway Dance Studio at 322 West 45th Street in New York. At 8:30am, 150 entry tickets will be distributed on a first-come basis. This probably means that only the first 150 candidats will be allowed to audition.
For those not able to go, you can upload your dance video on YouTube from 12:01:00 on August 26, 2010 through 11:59:59 on September 3, 2010.
On or about August 30, 2010, all eligible entries received will be judged by a qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsors. This panel will select 20 finalists, based upon the following criteria: originality/creativity (30%), choreography (20%), execution (20%), athleticism/grace (20%) and public appeal (as determined by page views and viewer comments) (10%).
Madonna will then select the 10 winners from among the 20 selected finalists, based upon the following criteria: originality/creativity (40%), choreography (20%), execution (20%) and athleticism/grace (20%). The decisions of the judges and Sponsor with respect to the selection of the winners, and in regard to all matters relating to this Contest, shall be final.
The 10 chosen winners will each receive round trip airfare to New York, three nights hotel accommodation for the winner and attendance at the September 22, 2010 Madonna dance party held at Macy’s Herald Square and $100 cash.
Finally, every dancer must dance to one of the following Royalty Free tracks, available on the website:
Unknown - Shake it Don’t Break it
LynneMusic - Kiss of a lifetime
    Ilya Kaplan - Sexy
    Ilya Kaplan - She’s Hot
The rules don’t mention that the winners will be professionlly choreographed by Madonna’s lead dancers for the party, so we can probably assume that rehearsals will take place during the stay in New York.
For more info, go to materialgirlcollection.com
    Good luck to all dancers.

Madonna is the secret director of Miu Miu’s a/w 2010 campaign film.
The campaign film for Miu Miu’s autumn/winter 2010 collection has been doing the rounds for a couple of months now and we fell for it as soon as we saw it. It stars models Lindsey Wixson, Siri Tollerød, Ginta Lapina, and Daphne Groeneveld, all decked out in the lust-have embellished dresses that have caused such a stir paired with kitten heels, patent bags and matching eye shadow.
The girls laugh, play and throw shapes to some bass-heavy dance music backed by strobe lights. And it’s just emerged where they got their moves from – Madonna was on set giving them tips.
Apparently Madonna rocked up onto the set of the Miu Miu campaign shoot to meet photographers Mert Atlas and Marcus Pigott and take them for dinner. But she got distracted and ended up directing the video instead.
Ginta Lapina told Love magazine, ‘We were supposed to shoot a video, so Madonna said she wanted to direct it. They said she could do it but they weren’t going to pay her and she started laughing. She put on her iPod and taught us moves and we shot the video for two hours.’
Take a look at the resulting film below and see how many signature Madonna moves you can spot:

“Madonna flipped when I did a treatment on her.
She said ‘this has transformed my skin.’”
Brooke’s trajectory into the ranks of super successful makeup artists was a fairy tale come to life. Her agent once asked her, “Where do you see yourself in five years and what icon would be your #1 dream to work with?” Brooke answered that she saw herself with a cosmetics contract and doing makeup for Madonna. The agent took Brooke on.
Reinvigorated, Brooke started testing with Herb Ritts’ assistant. Then the agent showed Madonna Brooke’s portfolio and Madonna called Brooke in. “My agent told me ‘Don’t act nervous when you work with her, just be yourself.’ We totally hit it off and I’ve been with [Madonna] for eight years.”

The Toxic hitmaker will be the centre of attention on the hit musical show when it returns for a second season, with a full episode dedicated to her music, and she began shooting her cameo role this week.
During the second day of filming on Thursday, Spears donned a white trouser suit similar to the outfit worn by the Material Girl for the promo of their collaborative 2003 track, while Heather Morris, who plays Glee member Brittany, took Spears’ part in the re-imagining.
