    Jason Derulo: Madonna stands the test of time!

    At 20, pop-R&B singer-songwriter Jason Derulo seems to be a really big fan as he doesn’t miss an occasion to mention the Queen of Pop during interviews.
    When asked by the Inquirer if Lady Gaga was the person he was looking up to in terms of plotting out his career, here’s what he had to say…

    Since Thursday, twenty trucks are trying to find a spot in the streets of Paris.
    It looks like a Madonna concert is coming to town. The filming in Paris has an impressive fleet of trucks and equipment.
    Multiple streets are going to be barricaded to facilitate the shooting.
    The following streets are currently being arranged for parking space: rue du Four, rue de Grenelle and Carrefour de la Croix Rouge (6th and 7th districts).
    THE SECURITY
    The security in Paris is much larger and important than the one in Nice.
    Numerous fans are massively waiting to get close to the filming locations and paparazzi are apparently extremely agressive but according to our source, Madonna wants maximum security around the filming, this time.
    THE SHOOTING
    The shooting should take place this afternoon.
    Multiple scenes will be shot in Paris.
    Madonna will focus on shooting the actors entering and leaving buildings.
    Multiple days of shooting in Paris, with various locations, which are currently top secret.

    Madonna just arrived at the location in Paris where she will be filming new scenes for her upcoming movie W.E. (6th district).
    Director of “I’m going to tell you a secret”, Nathan Rissman, is on the set as well.
    Tonight, at 20pm, Madonna will start filming the scenes for her upcoming movie at the Hôtel des Saints-Pères.
    The public won’t be able to get access to the street, because the scenes will be shot inside and outside of the hotel.
    They should film until 2am.

    Madonna’s spokesperson has rebuked speculation the Material Girl has started smoking again after she was snapped holding a cigarette, insisting it was just a prop for her new movie project.
    The pop superstar has stepped behind the camera to direct W.E., which tells the story of Britain’s King Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne after falling in love with American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
    Filming began recently and Madonna headed to France earlier this week to direct a number of shoots.
    She was snapped on location holding a cigarette and a lighter, prompting reports she had taken up smoking again, a habit she quit when she was younger.
    But a spokesperson for Madonna has told Britain’s Daily Mail the gossip is not true, insisting the singer was merely holding a prop cigarette for one of the stars of the movie.

    British actor Tom Hardy was so starstruck after meeting Madonna on the set of Rocknrolla, he hid in a car to escape the pop superstar.
    “She left me starstruck. I did what anyone who can’t deal with the situation does: I went and hid in the Range Rover.
    “I was sort of prepping for the scene in there and someone said hello to me and it was her – she’d somehow managed to get into the back of it!
    “Then we had a conversation, which I’ve completely blacked out because there she was like the Mother Mary in the boot (back) of the f**king Range Rover and I was completely starstruck.”
    But Hardy insists he wasn’t attracted to the star: “She’s just someone’s mum to me and she looks like a ghost. I didn’t see her as a sexual creature. There was a time when I really would’ve gone there but since (she appeared in) the Justin Timberlake video, leaping over cars and things, I just think: ‘Enough now.’”

    re up-to-date news about Madonna shooting in France…

    Like we’ve been mentioning on AbMad, Madonna shot a few scenes at the Palm Beach in Cannes and at the gardens of the Domergue Villa. www.absolumentmadonna.fr
    “Madonna was looking for a location with amazing gardens. She visited the Villa, a couple of months ago, and instantly fell in love with it. She was supposed to stay there for 20 minutes but ended up visiting it for more than 2 hours.” explained David Lisnard, the Deputy Mayor.
    Today, for her second day filming in France, she went to Villefranche-Sur-Mer.
    She’s been shooting a few scenes on the port, including one where Wallis and Edward are getting out of their boat to head towards the old city. This really happened in Portofino, Italy, but Madonna chose to film those scenes in the South of France, instead.
    The shooting ended around 6pm and Madonna is expected at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, tonight.
    Tomorrow, Madonna will be in Paris, rue des Saints-Pères, next to the famous Saint-Germain district of Paris!

    In his autobiography he said his friend Madonna could be ‘like a whiney old barmaid’. Now she is an ex-friend.
    He still doesn’t see what all the fuss was about. ‘I went over to her house and read the book to her. At the time she seemed fine about it. But she never reacts in front of anybody. It was only later on that I found the damage had been done.
    ‘I thought I’d been very nice about Madonna. I think she’s an amazing character. I was sweet about her in my book. I still admire her. But she’s a saint now, she’s beyond human contact. Her great friend told me a very clever thing: “Everybody thinks they’re Madonna’s best friend and they’re not.” ‘

    Madonna’s organization Raisingmalawi.org, posted the following statement on her site:
    “This past weekend, reports circulated regarding a Raising Malawi benefit concert in Blantyre, Malawi. www.absolumentmadonna.fr
    These reports are entirely false;
    Raising Malawi and Madonna have no plans to host such an event.”
    Another rumour about Madonna auditioning dancers in London’s Aura nightclub, for next world tour which would be called “The Hip-Hop Tour”. Well, this seems to be a little premature and just plain stupid with that ridiculous name and her next album that hasn’t been even recorded yet…
    Both rumours, generated by the Mirror, have zero credibility!

    Madonna is planning a huge Live Aidstyle charity concert in Malawi which will be shown on TV around the world.
    The 52-year-old Material Girl singer has called in favours from showbiz friends including U2 frontman Bono to perform at the Walk Out of Poverty gig in September.
    A source at her Raising Malawi charity said last night: “Plans are in place to make this the biggest fund-raiser the world has ever seen.”
    More than 60,000 fans will get free tickets for the concert at a stadium in Blantyre, poverty-stricken Malawi’s largest city, but TV rights and merchandising will rake in millions.
    The source added: “Madonna is throwing everything into it. She knows the bigger the event the more money will be raised.”

    On Macy’s: “Macy’s seems like a perfect fit because they’re so good at marketing, their stores are all over the place and their price range is accessible. And the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade passes right in front of my apartment every year so I feel especially sentimental since my kids and I get to watch it every year when we’re in town.”
    On Lola’s fashion sense: “She’s influenced by everything from bands she listens to, kids she sees in hip-hop and ballet classes and she’s been to enough photo sessions, video shoots and seen me put my tours together to have developed a great eye. She’s also worked in the wardrobe department on some of my tours. I love the way she puts different things together that are sometimes unexpected. She’s the fashion police at our house and has a point of view on what everyone is wearing. I’m not saying we agree on everything but we enjoy collaborating together.”
    On the new line: “I didn’t approach the Material Girl line to make up for something missing from the retail landscape. But I do think the Material Girl line gives young girls an opportunity to express themselves creatively and have fun putting outfits together depending on the occasion or their mood.”

    Madonna filming in the South of France…

    She went to Cannes today and will keep on shooting scenes for her forthcoming movie, W.E, tomorrow, in the city of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
    Madonna arrived at Nice airport to film key scenes earlier this week and went straight to Villefranche where she took a trip out in the bay on the boat.
    She’s been scouting locations in both Villefranche and Cannes, in the south of France.
    According to the newspaper, she already filmed a few scenes at the Domergue Villa, in Cannes. She reportedly said she fell in love with the place and its history, during the last Cannes Film Festival.
    The Domergue Villa belonged to world famous painter Jean-Gabriel Domergue and his wife, Odette Maudrange-Domergue.
    On Friday, she’s supposed to be filming new scenes on the port of Villefranche-sur-mer, at the French Riviera.
    The newspaper also reports that Madonna will be coming to Paris, in the beginning of August.

    According to the newly published show schedule, Madonna will be a guest on the
    Late Show With David Letterman on Friday July 30th.
    With guest Harry Connick, Jr. and the New York Rangers.
    This is a re-run of Madonna’s last appearance at the show including the infamous ‘pizzeria’ scene.
    Also Madonna has reportedly recruited U2 frontman Bono to perform
    at the Walk Out of Poverty event, which will take place in September.

    An interesting Xbox 360 idea featuring Madonna as an example, apparently died…
    Back in 2006, Lumines Live was going to mix the wonderful horizontally-oriented Tetris-style game Lumines with the idea of re-inventing music videos.
    Microsoft and development studio Q Entertainment let us play Lumines with a video of Madonna’s song Sorry integrated into the background.
    The game was released with the promise that other MTV-style music videos would get the Lumines Live treatment.

    The singer – who relocated from London to New York following her divorce from film director Guy Ritchie in 2008 – is currently in London directing her new movie ‘W.E.’, about late British monarch King Edward VIII’s decision to abdicate the throne for his American divorcee lover Wallis Simpson.
    Despite originally planning to only stay for the six-month shoot, Madonna has rediscovered her love for the UK capital and told ex- husband Guy she wants to move back to Britain for good.
    An insider told the Daily Star: “Guy says she talks about their home in Wiltshire, the kids and their friends in London. She seems nostalgic for her old life. She had built up a big circle of friends and fell in love with London. She’ll always love New York but she feels more at ease in London.”
    Madonna – who has four children, Lourdes, 13, Rocco, nine, Mercy, five, and four-year-old David – is believed to be keen to move back to Britain so she can reconnect with her old friends.
    The source explained: “The person she spends most time with is her daughter Lourdes but she is desperate for more adult company.”
    Madonna, 51, previously said she fell out of love with the UK because she couldn’t stand being referred to as ‘Madge’, her British nickname.
    She said: “That’s one of the reasons I left England – so I don’t have to hear the word ‘Madge’ anymore. Some people say ‘Madge’ is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it’s short for Majesty.”
