    Don't run away, come closer
I'll take you away from sadness
Let me lift you out of the darkness
    Let me sooth your soul

The shadow of your smile stays on my mind
And every song I hear reminds me of you

Every breath, every step, I'm closer to you
Every day (every day), everything (everything) reminds me of you
I can't forget you at all

Don't be afraid, come to me
I know that you've been hurt and you're scared
Let me fill your heart up with gladness
    Let me take you there

Everything you say stays in my heart
Everything I do, I'm thinking of you

Every breath, every step, I'm closer to you
Every day (every day), everything (everything) reminds me of you
I can't forget you at all

Love means letting go of fear
And I have nothing but love for you, my dear

    I can't forget

Every breath (every breath), every step (every step), I'm closer to you
Every day (every day), everything (everything) reminds me of you
Every breath (every breath), every step (every step), I'm closer to you
Every day (every day), everything (everything) reminds me of, of you
I can't forget you at all
I won't forget you at all

Madonna wants to direct a movie about King Edward VIII and is hoping the former Doctor will play the ex-monarch.
Madge was originally planning to star in the movie herself as Wallis, because she saw similarities between herself and the character.
But she is now in talks with Up In The Air star Vera Farmiga, 36, to take the role instead.
The part of King Edward hasn’t yet been cast but a source said: “Madonna’s interest in directing a drama was first revealed a year ago.
“She put it on hold while going through her divorce but is really keen to get into directing again and has her eye on David, having loved his work on Doctor Who.”

In the growing love affair between celebrity and fashion, one of the biggest names out there is close to getting into the groove: Madonna.
The pop icon is in talks to launch a contemporary women’s collection with a group of licensees that would be sold exclusively at Macy’s, according to sources. The merchandise would include apparel, accessories, intimates and footwear. Label names under serious consideration for the product lines include Material Girl for the apparel and Truth or Dare for the lingerie and underwear.
“Truth or Dare” was the title of a 1991 film, which documented Madonna’s groundbreaking Blonde Ambition worldwide concert tour.
Madonna’s longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, did not return calls Monday seeking comment. A Macy’s spokesman also declined comment.
Iconix Brand Group Inc. is involved in the negotiations for the venture, according to sources, and Madonna has made visits to the company’s New York offices. Iconix is a brand management firm, which owns and licenses 21 brands, including Candie’s, Bongo, Rampage, London Fog, Rocawear, Danskin and Badgley Mischka. The brands ring up $10 billion in retail sales in total, according to the company.
An Iconix spokeswoman declined to confirm or deny a potential Madonna deal. “Iconix has no comment on this story,” she said.
However, sources said a deal is close to being signed.
Iconix has experience working with pop superstars, having re-signed Britney Spears last month to a second year representing the Candie’s brand, which is sold exclusively at Kohl’s.

Madonna has won a dispute over the plot earmarked for her Malawi school, meaning villagers have been told to move from their homes.
In a land dispute pitting the singer against African villagers, Malawi’s government sided with Madonna who pumped millions into the impoverished southern African country and adopted two of its children.
Villagers were refusing to move from a plot of land near the capital, Lilongwe, where Madonna wants to build a 15 million US dollar school for girls.
The government, however, said it had originally planned to develop the plot, and only allowed the villagers to live there until a project was identified.
Lilongwe District Commissioner Charles Kalemba, accompanied by other government officials and representatives from Madonna’s Raising Malawi charity, met about 200 villagers and told them they would have to move. The villagers were offered other government land.
“Government allowed you to occupy this land because there was no project yet. But now that Madonna wants to build you a school you have to give way,” Mr Kalemba told the villagers. “You are lucky that Madonna has compensated you for your houses, gardens and trees.”
Anjimile Mtila-Oponyo, who will be principal of Madonna’s school, said the singer paid the villagers more than 16 million kwacha (about 115,000 US dollars) to compensate them for their houses – mostly mud-and-thatch structures – and improvements such as gardens and trees.
One villager said the 1,500 US dollars in compensation he received from Madonna for mango trees and three homes was not enough. He said his family had been living on his seven-acre plot for three generations.

Madonna, the queen of pop, has her eye on a king.
She’s set to direct “W.E.,” a biopic about the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson that led to the Brit royal abdicating from the throne to marry his divorcee lover.
Vera Farmiga (“Up in the Air”) is eyeing the plum role of Simpson, who precipitated the most severe constitutional crisis in the English monarchy in the 20th century after Edward proposed to her, only months into his reign.
There is no word yet on who will play King Edward.
Madonna is writing the script with Alex Keshishian, who directed the multihyphenate in “Truth or Dare.”
Former Miramax exec Colin Vaines and David Parfitt are producing the pic. CAA is handling domestica sales while IM Global has international.
This will which will be Madonna’s second directorial effort; her first, “Filth and Wisdom,” preemed at Berlin in 2008. Simpson led a colorful life, having been married twice before her romance with Edward. The two of them, who lived the rest of their lives as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, spent the best part of three decades living a life of leisure as social celebrities around the world.

Arianne Phillips, 46, is an American costume designer, a freelance fashion editor (for, among others, Harper’s Bazaar, American Vogue and Numéro magazine), and has been Madonna’s stylist for 13 years. She has been nominated for a Bafta for her work on Tom Ford’s film A Single Man. She lives in LA with her boyfriend and two dogs.
How do you juggle all your different projects?
I’ve crafted this career on my short attention span — this is how I keep my work fresh. I would have wilted in a nine-to-five.
    What’s your schedule like?
I travel a lot for Madonna — for one tour, there’s 12 weeks of prep and I’ll go to the first five shows. For my fashion work, I shoot in LA and New York and go to all the shows. I work 12 hours a day. I get up early to deal with Europe and stay up late to email, but I’m not a workaholic and I enjoy not working.
It sounds chaotic – how do you manage it?
I’m always having conversations with my boyfriend: should I do this or that? Working with Madonna, I have missed opportunities, but essentially it’s about planning. I suffer anxiety from the juggling, but I’m used to the fluency now.
What have you learnt from working with Madonna?
She taught me to keep my eye on the prize and not be seduced by others’ opinions. I’m not fluent in it like she is, but it really helped my confidence and sense of self.
How do you manage the egos?
It takes mutual respect and compromise. There have been many times when Madonna and I haven’t agreed — I didn’t win with the cowboy hat — but it’s not the end of the world. I won’t work with people with whom I don’t have a meeting of minds and aesthetics; I don’t give artists a new image because their old one doesn’t work.
Do you have a strategy to get your way?
Presents and flattery. If I want to sell a concept, I make a big effort to do my homework, to turn a vague opinion into something with purpose.

New images of the planned Raising Malawi Academy for Girls have been unveiled. The project is is currently on-site and will become a campus for 450 pupils when it is completed in two years' time, BDonline reports.

The design comes from studio MDA, a New York practice founded by Markus Dochantschi, a former Zaha Hadid Architects partner, and aims to use locally sourced materials such as hyrdaform bricks made from soil on site.

The project includes the use of double roofs designed to catch the wind and provide natural ventilation. The use of photovoltaic panels on the roofing will help the buildings to be energy independent.

Large overhangs on the roofs will create outdoor shaded spaces, preventing direct sunlight from heating up the interior of the building at the same time.
British engineer Adams Kara Taylor is also working on the scheme along with the New York office of Arup.

Madonna spent an hour talking about helping Brazil’s poor children with a man who could become the country’s next president. He came away wowed by her youthful appearance.
Sao Paulo state Gov. Jose Serra is considered a likely entrant in the 2010 campaign to succeed Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
On Wednesday, Madonna posed for photographers as Serra wrapped an arm around her.
The singer didn’t respond to questions about their meeting. Serra said Madonna expressed a desire to help needy young Brazilians after she toured a Sao Paulo center that helps kids.
Serra seemed most impressed by the 52-year-old Madonna’s youthfulness. “She seems very young, much less than her (age).”

Paramedics called to his home pronounced him dead at the scene. Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious.

Madonna leads a charge of celebrities descending on Rio de Janeiro for the city’s famously sexy Carnival starting this weekend.
The pop star triggered screams from fans as she checked into an up-market hotel on Ipanema beach with her children in tow, Brazil’s Globo news website reported.
The frenzy added to a crowd already gathered in front of the hotel because of another singing guest lodged there – Beyonce, who was wrapping up a series of pre-Carnival Brazilian concerts as part of a Latin American tour.
Other celebrities expected to show up for Carnival, which runs from Saturday to next Tuesday, include Alicia Keys and Paris Hilton, according to star-gazing website Ofuxico.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Lindsay Lohan, however, have cancelled their plans to visit, the daily O Dia says.

“To think, I only had to wait 50 years for this!” That’s what Madonna told a friend months ago discussing her love affair with the 22-year-old Jesus Luz. (And she wasn’t just talking about the sex.) Mr. Luz is apparently attentive, tender and in tune with Madonna in a way she feels she missed out on with her two ex-husbands and, well, others …
Nobody believes me when I say it, but Madonna is an old-fashioned romantic. A bouquet of daisies and a candlelit dinner go a long way with famous women who can buy and sell any guy they meet. (As Elizabeth Taylor remarked of her last hubby, Larry Fortensky, who was 20 years her junior. “No boy is poor if he has a loving heart.” And, no boy is poor if he can make a killing in the divorce settlement.)
Talk swirled last week that Madonna and Jesus had split. Within 48 hours of this gossip flurry, there they were in London, kissing up a storm at a movie premiere. She also chatted up her ex, Guy Ritchie, at the same event. And she danced like a dervish with a bevy of hot men at the after-party. (Insiders insist that Jesus will accompany Madonna to Rio on February 14 for Carnival.)
Do I think Madonna might marry Jesus? Not likely. She may be a romantic but she’s not a fool. Still, I expect this relationship to endure for several more happy years. More power to them both.

I read you worshipped Madonna when you were a kid.
I did have this epiphany when I was watching her on TV. It occurred to me that one could perform as one’s job. That could be a vocation and that was pretty exciting to me. I remember jumping up and down on the bed. I think most women of my generation worshipped Madonna.
    Do you still worship her?
    Yeah, I do. I haven’t stopped.

Back off, cougars of the world --Jesus Luz remains Madonna's man.
Despite rumors the Material Mom had dumped her Brazilian boy toy, we hear the two appeared very much together at the London premiere party for "A Single Man" on Monday night.
"They were all over each other and were even kissing in front of everyone," a spy on the other side of the pond dishes of the duo, who snuck into the famed Harry's Bar around 11 p.m. "They looked like they were still very much an item," although the snitch added that while Jesus snuck out right before the party ended, Madonna stayed until the venue closed.
"Tom Ford was there, and she looked like she wanted to talk to him before she left for the evening," the source says. "But there's no doubt she and Jesus were at the party together."
Madge even buried the hatchet for the evening: She was also spotted chatting with her ex, Guy Ritchie.
While the Queen of Pop may not be single, that doesn't mean she can't mingle: We hear she also enjoyed herself in NYC on Wednesday night — having a great time but certainly not stepping out on her man.
"She came into SL with a huge entourage of guys, but it looked very friendly," a snitch dishes. "At first, she was blocked off by security, but as the night went on she was having such a good time that she was out dancing like everyone else."
The 51-year-old still knows how to party: Our spy says that she even had a dance-off with the members of her posse, which included Knicks player Danilo Gallinari.
"They made a huge circle, and Madonna looked like she was competing with ["The Hurt Locker's"] Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner. Madonna looked really happy and like she was having a good time, but any attention she got from the men was definitely platonic."
Well thank God — err, Jesus — for that! (source: New York Daily News)

Madonna seemed to be holding auditions at Meatpacking District hot spot SL on Wednesday night. “She was looking for new dancers for her upcoming tour,” said a source. More than 30 wannabes formed a circle around her and conducted a dance-off. “It was pretty epic,” our spy says. “Some professionals were doing flips and spins, while the amateurs sort of just stared.” Madonna’s own deejay, Tony Touch, got on the turntables while Knicks star Danilo Gallinari and singer Eve looked on.
