Madonna’s new gym in Mexico City was finally given a permit to operate, a local official said Wednesday, two days after she inaugurated the luxury workout space. The Hard Candy gym had been prevented from opening because it lacked permits for land use and for its parking lot.

One rumour in in the press is that Madonna could be giving dancing classes to 30 lucky Hard Candy Fitness members, but another newspaper report suggests it really will be a flying visit with Madonna only scheduled to spend eight hours in Mexico city.

Jean Paul Gaultier is to be honoured with a retrospective at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA). Curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot, the exhibition celebrates 35 influential years of the Paris-based designer, from June 17th to October 2nd, 2011.
Titled ‘The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk’ will showcase about 120 haute couture and ready-to-wear pieces for women and men from 1976 to 2010.
