Madonna attends Valentino's party at the Boom Boom Room

totally gorgeous Madonna got straight back in the New York City nightlife attending the party for Valentino's "The Last Emperor" documentary at the Boom Boom Room yesterday night.  DJ Jesus Luz was spinning at the mixing booth at the event packed with celebrities such as Adrien Brody, Stephen Daldry, Hugh Jackman, Martha Stewart, as well as designers Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez and Diane von Furstenberg.

The Sticky and Sweet Tour special preview in Tokyo

The Sticky & Sweet Tour comes to theatres in Japan.  The Live in Buenos Aires concert special premiered on Japanese TV channel "WOWOW" on October 24 with a repeat this coming Wednesday, November 4 at 5 AM.  But the exciting news is that the concert video will have a special preview in Tokyo on Wednesday, November 11. DVD not ready for December, Oseary says

Following the announcement from Warner Music Japan about the Sticky & Sweet Tour coming out next month, with various online stores posting matching release dates, a Madonna fan got in touch with Guy Oseary via Twitter and asked him about the new DVD.  "It will not be ready by then.. Hawke praises Madonna for Gypsy support in Romania

Madonna leaves Malawi after week's charity tour

Madonna has left Malawi yesterday after a nearly weeklong visit with her family, airport and charity officials told the Associated Press.  Officials said Madonna flew out of the southern African country on Friday. While in Malawi, she broke ground for her $15 million Raising Malawi Academy for Girls and visited the orphanage that cared for her son David before she adopted him.  From the Associated

Madonna promises electricity for Malawian village

Madonna has promised electricity to a village in Malawi, the impoverished southern African country where she runs a charity organization and from which she has adopted two children.  Speaking in Mphandula, some 30 miles from Malawi's capital, Lilongwe, the singer said Thursday: "I know you work in darkness.
