Lady Gaga was forced to tame some of her little monsters this week.
The 24-year-old singer was in the midst of performing "Monster" during a sold-out show in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday when a fight broke out in the crowd.
With her hand still up in a claw position, Gaga called for the music to stop and pointed at the pair, who appeared to be bickering by the stage.
"Stop fighting. Do not fight at this show," she said. "Is she OK? Are they both OK? I don't know who hit who."
Gaga apologized to her fans for cutting the song short, but made sure the security guards were abreast of the situation before continuing.
"I'm sorry, I just don't want you to fight," she told the crowd. "Only fake monster fighting, okay?"
The songstress raised hackles herself this week after posing naked, covered in raw meat, on the September cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.
"Oh, Lady Gaga's job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body," PETA's President, Ingrid Newkirk, told the Daily News.
Terry Richardson, the photographer behind the Vogue Hommes spread, is creating a photo book of back-stage photos from the singer's Monster Ball tour.
But, according to PerezHilton.com, Gaga has mixed feelings about being trailed around back stage.
'Sometimes I'll have to pee during the show, and I'm always screaming, "Terry, get out!"' she told the gossip blogger. 'And he'll be saying, "It's so beautiful. You're so punk!" If only my fans knew I was peeing in a beer cup backstage.'
