Grandma Gaga? NO WAY!
Esquire magazine declares that Lady Gaga wants to be the “grandmother of pop music.” This month Esquire features a story about Lady Gaga written by one of her old friends, a guy named Brendan Sullivan. Sullivan tells the magazine he and Gaga were close back when she was a “struggling go-go dancer” and he was writing a young novelist.
more Lady Gaga after the hop…
Sullivan says Gaga always knew she would be famous and wants to be Madonna-esque in her staying power. She wants to be the “grandmother of pop music.”
“There is a musical government, who decides what we all get to hear and listen to. And I want to be one of those people…Once she told me that she wanted to be the “grandmother of pop music” bringing up new bands, nurturing their talents, watching them grow.”
Sullivan also says they used to drink “wine out of pint glasses” and Gaga once dressed up as Marilyn Monroe and jumped out of a cake during a birthday celebration. Interesting.
