  3. News that Madonna collapsed on stage during her Sticky & Sweet show in Sofia, Bulgaria, made the headlines in the media outlets all over the world, giving many of them the chance to hint it is finally time for her to take her foot off the gas. Now, MadonnaTribe has learnt and can reveal that Madonna did not only faint on the stage in Sofia, but she actually did that during each and every show of the 2009 leg. "A team of experts from the best medical universities is going to look into this" - a source told us - "because not only the Queen of Pop suffered for collapsing in repeated shows, but apparently she did that at the very same time, in each and every show". The experts are also considering to re-create the show once again and having Madonna perform while connected to various electronic monitoring devices, in order to find out if there is any relationship between her temporary loss of consciousness and the beats of her songs. At the present time it is not known if fans will also be asked to take part to the tests to re-create the exact same environment.

    GAME OVER !

Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” Tour made history as it wrapped up last night with two final shows in Tel Aviv, Israel at Yehoshua Gardens (HaYarkon Park, September 1 and 2). The Material Girl more than lives up to her name, as her tour becomes the most successful tour ever by a solo artist. After playing 85 shows since its launch in August 2008, Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” has drawn more than 3.5 million fans in 32 countries and has grossed $408 million, it was announced today by Live Nation, the tour’s global producer. “Sticky & Sweet” is also the second highest grossing tour of all time. Madonna set an attendance record for the biggest crowds in history in Zurich, Switzerland, where she drew the largest audience ever assembled for a show in that country (72,000). Her Gothenburg, Sweden show, seen by 119,000 fans, broke the record for highest grossing multiple shows in the country’s history. In Helsinki, Finland, “Sticky & Sweet” sold more than 85,000 tickets, making it the biggest single show by an artist in history for all of Scandinavia. Other highlights on the tour included stops in Buenos Aires, Argentina (256,000), Santiago, Chile (146,000), Sao Paulo, Brazil (203,000), Tallinn, Estonia (72,000), Warsaw, Poland (79,000), Bucharest, Romania (69,000), and Sofia, Bulgaria (54,000). “With ‘Sticky & Sweet’ Madonna has proven yet again that there is virtually no limit to what she can accomplish both creatively and commercially,” said Arthur Fogel, Live Nation’s Chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring. “Sticky & Sweet” broke Madonna’s previous record of most successful tour by a solo artist with her 2006 Confessions Tour, which grossed $194 million.

  9. Madonna won hearts in France Sunday as she visited injured survivors and the family of a stage hand who died during an accident which saw her concert date in Marseille cancelled. The city's mayor paid tribute to the US pop star's 'humanity' as she visited the home of 52-year-old French victim Charles Criscenzo's family in nearby Aix-en-Provence before tending to colleagues being treated in hospital. The black-clad US pop star landed at Marseille-Marignane airport at 1615 GMT and sped off with a bodyguard in a black Mercedes to the house where Criscenzo lived, where a security perimeter had been set up to keep media away. Two men, Criscenzo and 23-year-old Briton Charles Prow, were killed on Thursday with eight more workers injured in the accident when part of the stage being built at the city's Stade Velodrome collapsed. The accident happened when a crane toppled over as they were preparing the venue for Sunday's concert, which was immediately cancelled. Madonna - whose two adopted children arrived with her in France, but left the airport in another car - went on to visit three injured workers still being cared for in two Marseille hospitals. One, an American, was in a serious condition Sunday, according to local health officials. Madonna arrived mid-evening at the Mediterranean port's Conception hospital, without any official escort, and bearing a large bouquet of white roses, to visit a French technician who broke a hip in the accident. Met at the hospital by city mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin, she made no declaration before escaping the crowd to tend to the injured stage hand and making her way to a second hospital. Speaking for the city, Gaudin said 'we are very touched that a singer of her stature and talent has demonstrated such extraordinary human qualities' with this visit. 'Madonna wanted to come and visit those injured and the families of those killed,' the mayor's special events deputy Maurice Di Nocera earlier told AFP. 'She wanted something private and discreet.' The singer was not, however, given permission to visit the stadium - the home of Olympique Marseille football club - with an accident investigation under way. Ticket reimbursements for the Marseille concert would begin on Monday, Madonna's publicists said.

  11. A moved Madonna had tears coming out last night while dedicating You Must Love Me and a moment of prayer to the memory of the persons who died in Marseille and to their families. One of the most touching moments of this tour that made this stop very different for both Madonna and her audience. For memory...
  12. "I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news." Madonna, after the tragedy in Marseille. A stage being constructed for a concert by pop star Madonna in France has collapsed, killing one person and injuring six, police say. Technicians were setting up the stage at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille when the accident occurred at around 1715 (1515 GMT). The concert, planned for Sunday, 19 July, has now been cancelled, officials announced. The cause of the accident was not clear. The frame 'started shaking and collapsing', said Marseille city councillor Maurice Di Nocera. 'Fortunately, it didn't collapse too quickly, as there would have been quite a few victims,' he said, according to AFP news agency. Two of the injuries were serious, Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux said.
  13. See you this sunday, in Marseille...
