Madonna is the 11th most powerful woman in the world according to Time list
Madonna was chosen as the 11th most powerful woman in the world in the 20th century, in a list released by Time magazine on Thursday. Topping the list, which has 25 names, are sociologist Jane Addams, the first American to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
According to the publication, Jane Addams occupies the first place because of her work in defending the rights of women. She is followed by Corazon Aquino, former Philippine president and the American biologist Rachel Carson.
The most powerful names in the list also include Coco Chanel, in at fourth place, the cook, Julia Child, in fifth, and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the sixth.
