ady Gaga scored another U.K. chart double as  the Official Charts Company's new sales data was published yesterday. The Interscope/Universal single "Telephone," featuring Beyoncé, jumped 12-1 in its 16th week, while Gaga's "The Fame" album moved back 5-1 in its 62nd appearance on the album survey.

Gaga previously simultaneously topped the British singles and album charts last April, during one of the first four weeks at the top for "The Fame," when "Poker Face"  led the singles list. "Telephone" made a final sprint to No. 1 after the debut of its new, ten-minute video attracted multi-million audiences, and took the track past Tinie Tempah's "Pass Out" (Parlophone/EMI), which topped the charts for the last two weeks.

"The Fame" also came from behind in midweek sales. At one stage during the chart week, it was only at No. 4, with The "Glee" Cast's "'Glee': The Music: Season One, Volume 2" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) comfortably in the lead. But Lady Gaga ended up at the summit as the "Glee" album narrowly failed to become the series' second U.K. chart-topping album. The "Season One, Volume 1" set led the chart for a week in late February. It climbed back 9-6 yesterday. Last week's No. 1 album, Boyzone's "Brother" (Polydor/Universal), fell to No. 3, with Gorillaz' "Plastic Beach" (Parlophone/EMI) down two places from last week's No. 2 debut. The only other new entry in the top 20 was "Sweet 7" (Universal Island) by chart regular Sugababes at No. 14.

"Telephone" becomes Lady Gaga's fourth U.K. No. 1 single in the space of 14 months. With Tinie Tempah down to No. 2, Rihanna's "Rude Boy" (Def Jam/Universal) dipped 2-3 and "Baby" (Def Jam/Universal) by Justin Bieber featuring Ludacris was the highest new entry at No. 4. Cheryl Cole's "Parachute" climbed 8-6 and Romanian dance singer Inna's "Hot" (3 Beat/All Around The World/Universal), a hit in several other European countries last year, debuted at No. 8. The track reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay in January.

"Plastic Beach" gave Gorillaz their third No. 1 from three studio releases on Billboard's European Albums chart, while Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" (RCA/Sony Music Entertainment) returned to the top of Hot 100 Singles for a sixth aggregate week.
