This fantastic image of Madonna, styled by Michael Roberts and shot on location in Los Angeles in 1984 is one of the never before seen pictures you'll find in "Herb Ritts: The Golden Hour", coming out from Rizzoli later this year.

This is indeed the piece of resistance from the Madonna images featured in the upcoming retrospective about the late Ritts - that MadonnaTribe described in details last June - and is now featured in the October 2010 issue of the American edition of Vanity Fair.
