Madonna was voted the most innovative and stylish female of the eighties, with 31 per cent of women heralding her as the ultimate fashion icon of that decade.

Many trends spearheaded by Madonna over two decades ago have since made a comeback, with leg warmers, ‘Ra Ra’ skirts and chunky jewellery resurfacing on stylists’ shopping lists today.
