Glee and Madonna Combine for a Pop Culture Event
What happens when you combine a TV show that has generated digital sales of songs somewhere in the range of four million with the woman who has released more top 10 pop hits than any other artist in the history of the Billboard charts? It's nothing less than a major pop culture event. Next Tuesday evening, April 20, 2010, the episode of the hit Fox TV series Glee titled "The Power of Madonna" will air with music exclusively from Madonna's collection of classic pop hits. Madonna herself has already proclaimed the episode and effort to be "brilliant on every level."
An EP also titled The Power of Madonna will be released April 20th to coincide with the airing of the Glee episode. Preview videos have been released including a much talked about clip of cast member Sue Sylvester recreating Madonna's "Vogue" video. This episode is surely what everyone will be talking about Wednesday morning. Set the DVRs now.
