Lady Gaga to Perform on American Idol

Lady Gaga will appear on American Idol on May 5th, the pop singer tweeted on Friday.

"See you on American Idol. May 5th, Little Monsters," she wrote, while also linking to a recent live performance of her latest single, "Telephone."

The 24-year-old first appeared on the Idol stage in April of 2009, to perform her No. 1 hit, "Poker Face."

Here's hoping Beyonce, who is also featured on "Telephone," may be able to stop by to perform alongside Gaga for Simon Cowell and the gang.

Reps for the show could not immediately be reached for comment.
