Sky Fits Heaven
yricsSky fits heaven so fly itThat's what the prophet said to me Child fits mother so hold your baby tight That's what my future could see
Fate fits karma so use it That's what the wise man said to me Love fits virtue so hold on to the light That's what our future will be
Traveling down this road Watching the signs as I go I think I'll follow the sun Isn't everyone just
Traveling down their own road Watching the signs as they go I think I'll follow my heart It's a very good place to start
Traveling down my own road Watching the signs as I go Traveling down my own road And I'm watching the signs as I go Traveling traveling Watching the signs as I go
Hand fits giving so do it That's what the Gospel said to me Life fits living so let your judgments go That's how our future should be
Traveling down this road Watching the signs as I go I think I'll follow the sun Isn't everyone just
Traveling down their own road Watching the signs as they go I think I'll follow my heart It's a very good place to start
Traveling down my own road Watching the signs as they go Traveling down my own road And I'm watching the signs as I go Traveling traveling Watching the signs as I go

Sky Fits Heaven contains some lines from a poem by Max Blagg. The original poem reads: "Sky fits heaven, so ride it. Child fits mother, so hold your baby tight. Lips fit mouth, so kiss them". Blagg recited this poem for a 1993 Gap commercial, 10 years before Madonna did her own Gap ad. It was rumoured that Madonna paid Blagg for using the lines without having to credit him in the album's liner notes. AlbumSongThis catchy dance-trance song wasn't released as a single, but was a favorite among remixers. Two remixes featured as B-singles for Drowned World/Substitute For Love (UK and Japan).TourNo doubt one of the highlights of the Drowned World Tour was the performance of Sky Fits Heaven. During Mer Girl all of a sudden the beat kicks in and Madonna jumps from the jungle-like decor. Attached to a cord she flies through the sky, kicking the 'evil spirit' dancers in a true kungfu-style. Inspiration for this scene was the movie 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. |
