Ain't No Big Deal
Lyrics
Ain't no big deal to say I love you still
Call out my name, I'll be here
Ain't no big deal to say my love is real
When you reach out I'll be there
Please don't be afraid to look me in the eye
Sad time is gone, I got no tears to cry
So don't so say you don't know I'm right
When I say we'll get by
Ain't no big deal to say I love you still
Call out my name, I'll be here
Ain't no big deal to say my love is real
When you reach out I'll be there
Nobody makes me feel the way that you do
Night time's such a thrill when I spend it with you
Ask me what is on my mind
So I can tell you true
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Ain't no big deal, I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Baby I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Ain't no big deal, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ain't no big thing, uh, uh, uh, uh
I said
Ain't no big deal, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ain't no big thing, uh, uh, uh, uh
Please don't be afraid to look me in the eye
Sad time is gone, I got no tears to cry
Don't so say you don't know I'm right
When I say we'll get by
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Ain't no big deal, I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Baby I love you still
Ain't no big deal, my love is for real
Ain't no big deal, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ain't no big thing, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ain't no big deal, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ain't no big thing, uh, uh, uh, uh
Reach out, reach out
I'll be there, yeah, oh yeah
Reach out, reach out
I'll be there, yeah
I'll be right by your side
Reach out, reach out
I'll be there, yeah, oh yeah
Reach out, reach out
I'll be there, yeah

In the early 80s Madonna and Steve Bray recorded a few demo's. A few would be used on Madonna's first album, others appeared on the albums 'Pre-Madonna' and 'In The Beginning' several years later.
Madonna's first contract with Sire Records wasn't for an album, but for two singles. Ain't No Big Deal was first chosen as the first single release with Everybody as a B-single. But at that time there was a discussion about who would produce the track; either Steve Bray or Mark Kamins. In the end Steve Bray sold the rights of the song to July Fourth Music. Some discogroup called Barracuda recorded their own version of 'Ain't No Big Deal', before Sire Records had the chance to release Madonna's version. So they dropped Ain't No Big Deal as a single and opted for Everybody instead.
In 1986 Reggie Lucas produced the song as a B-single for True Blue (in the US) and Papa Don't Preach (outside the US).
Because of these different productions, there are different versions of the song. Anyway, the lyrics on the left are those from the version I got! :-)
