It's great you (Madonna) are working with people in Rio to help the Favelas. I have been going to brazil for several years and it is heartbreaking to see the level of homeless in and around Rio. Especially the kids. I have started a building project in Brazil, and my future goal is to be able to offer families a permanent place to live who otherwise have no where to go.
I am also looking into creating an "after school" safe haven for kids who want to learn and play in a safe environment, and have to resources they need to explore the world outside favelas to give them hope for a bright future.
I am moving to Brasil in early 2010 to pursue this full time. I would love to help in any way with your future endeavors in Rio. Good luck!
