greetings

Well....for some odd reason I wrote (typed!) some stuff in the "about me" section but doesn't appear! Just a gray box.  This is what I originally had: Greetings fellow ICONers!  I've been a fan ever since Borderline came out. (I would like to thank my mum for purchasing my LP 45's of M. I loved the cover sleeves of Lucky Star, Angel, Live To Tell....) The first M album I bought (with my own money) was True Blue from the Crazy Eddie (Electronics Store).  They had a huge display of the

Madonna let me sing and gave me her pick!

Im still in shock! the events that occured in spain are just too exciting for me to even write about! i traveled all the way from california to see this woman, and it was amazing. i'll write a full review of the shows in barcelona and madrid later, but the highlights do include Guy Oseary asking to talk to my friend on the phone to tell him I was beautiful (twice he took my phone to talk to my friend), Guy recognising who I was and taking my ICON book I worked so hard on for everyone, Madonna ju

MICHAEL JACKSON & KANYE WEST Hi Gary, Regarding Michael Jackson, what an incredible musical legacy! The first pop and R&B tunes I ever knew were those of the Jackson 5, as well as Stevie Wonder.??(In fact, I recently purchased a CD called "Stevie Wrote It." It features tunes that Wonder had written for others or that were covered by others, and Jackson was on the roster. Nice that Wonder, too, is currently on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs thanks to his harmonica solo on Raphael Saadiq's "N

MICHAEL JACKSON & MADONNA Hi Gary, I recall reading in the '90s that Michael Jackson and Madonna attempted to collaborate on the song "In the Closet" from the former's album "Dangerous" but could not reach an agreement. Do you know who the female voice credited as "Mystery Girl" might be? Is it Madonna? Regards, Luis A. Gonzalez Dallas, Texas Hi Luis, You're correct that two of pop music's heaviest hitters at the time wound up not combining forces on "In the Closet." Still, the song f

CATALOG VS. CURRENT Dear Billboard, As a follower of the Billboard charts since the early '70s, I must say that I am totally disgusted that Billboard would allow the fourth-biggest selling album of the week to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. I have read time and again your reasons for having a catalog chart and I have also watched time and again as Billboard has changed policies so that the charts would better reflect what records were selling and what radio was playing. If ever t

Time goes by

I have been away for a bit.  Work, life, hikeing and camping in the hills.  I actually camped in the HOH rain forest last weekend.  It was really beatiful and no it did not rain in the rain forest.  It was so nice to be away from the noise of the city.  The sky was so clear and the next day at Lake Quinault was sparkling.  Took a side trip later on the way back to seattle to Ruby Beach on the Washington Coast.  I did not attempt to put my toes in the icy water, but the sound of the ocean is just

Music Today

Now i know im only 21 but i dont get the new artists that have been coming out. I really dont understand the whole lady gaga thing- the songs are catchy and their fun to listen to but her whole schtick is weird. I understand that you have to stand out and get noticed but i think its kind of ridiculous and not genuine - shes like a mixture of a wannabe 80s madonna and 90s howard stern [who i love <3]  and all these rnb and "rap" stars that just keep talking about the same thing over and over

Madonna

I've been a Madonna fan since I was 7.  I can't wait to hear her new song "Celebrate".  I wonder what songs are going to be included to the Greatest Hits.  I flew to London to see Madonna in London last July.  I really enjoyed when she paid tribute to Michael Jackson.  I'm also glad that she performed "Dress you Up".  I really hope they release all her past tours on DVD/Blu Ray.  I'm still waiting for The Re-Invention Tour" to be released.  So please release it.  PLEASE!!!
