  1. Madonna’s kids have appointments made to spend time with their superstar mum, according to reports. The Material Girl’s personal assistants are said to schedule time for her with Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy in 15-minute increments. “The children are said to have appointments made to see their mother, who will help with homework, or sing, or even make food with them – but only if it has been planned in advance,” the Daily Mail reports. The youngsters are said to have three nannies, all of whom speak French as the kids are being raised to be bilingual. Two macrobiotic chefs whip up meals, and there is no red meat, pork or refined sugar on the menu, while dairy products are strictly limited. Wow i can't believe this!!

  3. The muscular Material Girl won’t have far to go for a workout. Madonna is adding a floor to her new $32 million Upper East Side triple-wide townhouse, and it will be mostly taken up by a gym, city plans show. The addition will add 1,614 square feet to the East 81st Street mansion, bringing the total square footage to 13,847, not including the cellar. The home also has a 3,000-square-foot garden. She is also tearing up the existing bedrooms and baths, creating a new master suite on the third floor with a boudoir flanked by a giant walk-in closet and a master bath. There will be a hair salon across the hall and a separate closet for her luggage. There is a second master bedroom on the same floor with master closet for her boy toy du jour. In total, 10 bedrooms are planned and 13 bathrooms. The first floor has a drawing room and what is labeled on building plans as a “security living room” with adjoining bar. The Georgian-style mansion also includes an elevator and two-car garage in what is described as the basement level, but is actually the ground floor. Madonna is adding a wine cellar and playroom one flight below. Building permits filed with the city so far put the cost of renovations at $1.7 million.

  7. Fresh from signing a deal to create her own range of clothing, Madonna has teamed up with old friends Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to design a collection of sunglasses for the Italian label. The sunglasses, which bear the letter M on the arm, mark the first co-branded collaboration that the design duo has ever undertaken. “We’re so excited,” Gabbana told WWD. “This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. She is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.” The collection, which will be produced and distribute by Luxottica, Dolce & Gabbana’s eyewear licensee, will go on sale this May retailing from €180 to €210 at Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide and at the Sunglass Hut. Madonna, who fronts this season’s Dolce & Gabbana campaign, also stars in the advertising images for the sunglasses line. They were also shot by Steven Klein, inspired by “film noir”, and will be released in May to coincide with the launch.
  8. LOS ANGELES— “Collaboration. I like being his muse,” Madonna told us, explaining her relationship with photographer Tom Munro at a private party and opening last night, to celebrate the photographer’s first book, a collection of celebrity portraits. (Partial proceeds of of the book will go to Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi, and M.E.A.K.) Madonna, wearing black fishnet stockings, leather skirt and dark sunglasses at 10 p.m. in a dark room, blew off the Weinstein Company party at Soho House and the Summit Entertainment reception for “The Hurt Locker” at the Mondrian, for the gallery opening, where she spent most of the time on the lap of Steven Klein, another celebrity fashion photographer. The party was underwritten by Moët & Chandon – the official champagne of the Oscars, a publicist helpfully reminded us – and guests were sipping from miniature bottles of the stuff. Justin Timberlake was skulking near the bar, wearing geeky glasses and a ski cap. A female bodyguard was standing next to him. “Tom’s a very good friend of mine and I’m excited for him and it’s a great cause so I came,” Mr. Timberlake said. What was he doing Oscar night we asked? “I thought this was a sound bite for Tom,” Mr. Timberlake said, which was the cue for his bodyguard to shoo us away. Earlier in the evening, Mr. Munro escorted Dustin Hoffman around the gallery for a private tour of his very large photographs of Beyonce, Adrien Brody, Jude Law, Julianne Moore,Christina Ricci and a leering Quintin Tarantino. “He shot me one day,” Mr. Hoffman said, explaining how he met Mr. Munro, who said the session resulted in photographs for Italian Vogue. So it was a fashion shoot? “I think anything I’m involved in they can’t call it fashion,” Mr. Hoffman said. Did Mr. Hoffman have any Oscar predictions we asked? “Yes, I am not going to win anything,” said the two-time Oscar winner. He said he hadn’t seen all of the nominated films but “the ones I did see fortunately were foreign films and I would love to see the day come when we don’t differentiate.” “You can’t say best if you haven’t see the others,” Mr. Hoffman replied when we pressed him for his Oscar picks. “I saw ‘Hurt Locker. ‘ It’s first rate as is ‘A Prophet’ and the Argentinian film.” (That would be “The Secret in Their Eyes.”) As for Oscar parties, “I try to avoid them all,” Mr. Hoffman said. He added that he would not be at the Oscars on Sunday. “We’re staying home,” he said, introducing his wife Lisa. “I get dressed up in a tuxedo and I have earphones plugged into the TV and then I turn the sound off and have a few friends over and I hold a card and I announce all the winners. ” Mr. Hoffman said Mr. Munro’s name might be announced one day at the Oscars. “I don’t know if he realizes that he’s a director. He should be directing films, he really should.” Mr. Munro, who has directed a couple of videos with Madonna, said his dream was to move into the direction of feature films and he credited Madonna as “an inspiration. ” Mr. Munro then looked around the packed room from behind the V.I.P. roped-off area. “We were terrified that it is too ambitious having a show the night before the Oscars,” he said. “I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to turn up. They might have been getting their beauty sleep for tomorrow night. “

  11. In the growing love affair between celebrity and fashion, one of the biggest names out there is close to getting into the groove: Madonna. The pop icon is in talks to launch a contemporary women’s collection with a group of licensees that would be sold exclusively at Macy’s, according to sources. The merchandise would include apparel, accessories, intimates and footwear. Label names under serious consideration for the product lines include Material Girl for the apparel and Truth or Dare for the lingerie and underwear. “Truth or Dare” was the title of a 1991 film, which documented Madonna’s groundbreaking Blonde Ambition worldwide concert tour. Madonna’s longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, did not return calls Monday seeking comment. A Macy’s spokesman also declined comment. Iconix Brand Group Inc. is involved in the negotiations for the venture, according to sources, and Madonna has made visits to the company’s New York offices. Iconix is a brand management firm, which owns and licenses 21 brands, including Candie’s, Bongo, Rampage, London Fog, Rocawear, Danskin and Badgley Mischka. The brands ring up $10 billion in retail sales in total, according to the company. An Iconix spokeswoman declined to confirm or deny a potential Madonna deal. “Iconix has no comment on this story,” she said. However, sources said a deal is close to being signed. Iconix has experience working with pop superstars, having re-signed Britney Spears last month to a second year representing the Candie’s brand, which is sold exclusively at Kohl’s.
  12. Obviously those rumors that it’s over betweenMadonna and her 23-year-old boy toy Jesus Luz were way off the mark! The couple were spotted getting hot and heavy at a Rio club in Brazil on Wednesday. Earlier in the day Jesus was spotted on daddy duty playing with Madonna’s adopted daughter Mercy in ahotel swimming pool. But by night time it was adult action only! Reports surfaced recently that Jesus had dumped Madonna, citing their age difference and busy schedules as the reason for their split. Looks like they were way off the mark though – unless they’re just going through some serious make-up time! Madonna began dating the Brazilian-born model/DJ shortly after her divorce from British director Guy Ritchie, when the couple met on the set of a steamy December 2008 photo shoot for W Magazine.
  13. Later yesterday night Madonna, Jesus Luz, Guy Oseary, Eugene Hutz (from Gogol Bordello who lives in Rio) and some friends attended a rock concet at Circo Voador in Rio. The venue is downtown and the tickets are usually very cheap. Madonna drank some shots of Brazilian most famous drink, Caipirinha. The lead vocal of the band Locomotivos said to the audience: "Our Circo is so huge, that Madonna is here to see us". All the auddience applauded Madonna and she got blushed. Madonna and her friends left at around 1h50 a.m.
  14. The pair left the hotel Fasano, where the singer is staying with her family at about 22h and went out for a dinner at the Italian restaurant (Ristorante Botticelli).
  15. Madonna arrived, guarded by the military police, in Fasano Hotel (Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro) around 11am today. Jesus Luz was also spotted at the same hotel. Madonna was invited by Rio’s Governor Sérgio Cabral to see the Carnival. She will also meet José Serra (Governor of Sao Paulo) on Wednesday.
